SUNDANCE'S TRINITY - "Rayla"Is a double-registered Rocky Mountain and Kentucky Mountain (registrations pending) filly with a foal date of March 6th, 2011. This beautiful black filly is a perfect reminder of why we take such pride in our breeding program at Sundance Stables. Rayla is a third generation Sundance Mountain Horse. We are proud to be the owners of both her dam, Reo's Black Pearl, and her grand-dam, Dandy's Brandy (see our Mare page ). Brandy is Sundance's matriarch mare and has produced many beautiful foals for us, but none as talented as Rayla's dam, Reo's Black Pearl. Pearl's most impressive show ring accomplishment is that of 2009 KMSHA International Country Trail Pleasure World Grand Champion. And her consistent and smooth gait has already become apparent in her first offspring. Rayla has already exhibited the same natural four-beat gait that this breed is so famous for. As if Rayla's bloodline on her dam's side is not impressive enough, she is sired by Stardust's Steely Dan, a 2005 Rocky & Kentucky Mountain grullo stallion, with a magnificent classic pleasure gait that won him multiple blue ribbons and the RMHA Heritage and State Champion title in 2008. The combination of this wonderful stallion with our outstanding mare, Pearl, promises to give Rayla a natural gaited talent that will be hard to beat on the rail and a pleasure to enjoy on the trail. SUNDANCE'S FINAL TOUCH - "Gucci"Is a registered Spotted Saddle Horse (registration pending) filly with a foal date of March 16th, 2011. This unique little filly is the result of an equally unique breeding. Gucci's dam is Push for Correct Change (see our Mare page ), whose grand-sire is The Pusher and Ebony Masterpiece on the bottom side. Her sire is The Untouchable (see our Stallion page ), who was sired by the well-known Storm Warning. Mixing these two beautiful breeds resulted in this striking foal. Gucci is our little designer filly, with extraordinary facial markings and four white stockings. She's still keeping us guessing as to what her final and true color will be. Like all our babies, Gucci has already won our hearts with her gentle and inquisitive nature. Watching her run and play at pasture gives us a good indication of just how talented this little filly will grow to be. We are going to enjoy every minute of watching this little girl grow up to be a beautiful reflection of both her parents. Top of page |
